Dr. Kelly Liu completed her undergraduate education at U.C. Berkeley with a B.A. in integrative biology. She then completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry and Primary Care/Ocular Disease residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affair Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Liu provided comprehensive eye examinations and worked alongside ophthalmologists to manage a variety of complex ocular diseases. She also has experience with specialty contact lenses and low vision examinations for the visually impaired.

Dr. Liu has lectured at local society meetings, including Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Society, San Francisco Optometric Society, San Mateo Optometry Society, and the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. She hopes to continue involvement in academia while providing thorough, evidence-based eye care for the community. In her free time, Dr. Liu enjoys powerlifting, running, and curling up with a good book!
